Motivation

Some people use mantras to get them through difficult times. These are a few phrases I use myself. Sometimes it’s during a race, sometimes it’s to get through a tough workout, and sometimes it’s just to drag myself out of bed in the morning :)

Bear in mind, I tend to yell these things at myself as a form of ‘tough love’, and some of these I would never say to a client, but it is the only way I will take my own advice!


NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!

Do you want it? Do you REALLY want it?

You didn’t pay to enter this race to take it easy.

Nearly there! Keep going! Push to the end!Only 200 metres/3 more reps/5 seconds to go!

If someone offered $1000 for one more rep, would you do it?

Walking is for Wimps!!
(Usually say this to myself during a long training session – wouldn’t say this to anyone else!)

If you don’t feel like throwing up then you didn’t push hard enough!
(Along the lines of nearly there, again, only use this on myself. Please don’t say it to others!)
